Well, here we are,
at the beginning of another delightful year in music video. I, for one,
am optimistic – the quiet merger of The Box and M2 has left me in possession
of the one cable channel I’ve wished to God I could get since its inception.
Which was like four years ago.
Next week, a fresh
batch of videos, but first, the requisite lists of best, worst and (for
the first time this year) “ghettoest.” As always, your comments and suggestions
are welcome, and I’d love to hear your alternate picks. Here’s to another
year of trashing boy and girl groups everywhere, and to rummaging through
the Dumpster of MTV to find scraps of useful, discarded entertainment.
